As always… this post is a part of Sunday Setlists!

After my mini-vacation last Sunday, I was happy to get back to doing music this morning. We had a small setup with just two guitars and one backup singer. Our set looked like this:

1. Holy Is The Lord (Tomlin) – D
2. All Creatures of Our God and King (Crowder version) – B
3. Unashamed (Starfield) – E
4. You Alone (Crowder) – D
5. Come Thou Fount – Bb
6. Hungry (Scott) – C

Overall I enjoyed this morning. I was a bit preoccupied during setup because we didn’t have anyone specifically there to run the sound board, we made last minute song choices and I was trying to make sure nothing fell through the cracks. At the last minute I remembered to turn on the ipod for preservice, so everything was taken care of on my end. From my perspective everything sounded good but I found out afterwards the mic was clipping in the main speakers. That’s a bit frustrating because it’s not something anyone knows how to fix exactly. And without a person running the soundboard today there was just nothing we could do. Despite that issue (that I was oblivious to during the service), I think it was a great morning. People were engaged, I was relaxed and we didn’t run over time.

So, tell me… how was your Sunday?

My attempt at 100 pic Friday …

Which actually turned into a 63 pic weekend! Thanks to twitter and @joshuawhite I tried to take 100 pictures with my iPhone on Friday. That didn’t quite work – but here’s my results anyway 🙂

Some are pretty cool, and some suck. On about half I used some effects with an app I have called Camera Bag. Most of them are taken on the way up to and in Seattle, WA, where we attended some Red Sox games and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Here are a few of my favorites. To see the rest click on any picture and it’ll take you to my flickr page.

Sorry this is so late – I’ve been feeling pretty sick since Sunday afternoon/evening. Bryce was rather sick last week and it seems like I’ve got the same kind of thing.

Anyway, this Sunday we had some technical issues- one of the main speakers was cutting out for some reason. Trying to trouble shoot that pushed our run-through to the last second which is always stressful. The actual worship set went really well- it was just me on lead vocals and guitar, bass and djembe. My favorite part of the set was the medley of Turn Your Eyes and Never Let Go – the lyrics of those songs spoke to me where I’m at this week.

1. Our God Reigns (Cederberg) – G
2. Cannons (Wickham) – D
3. You Are Holy (Mine) – C
4. Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus/Never Let Go (Helen H. Lemmel/Crowder) – C
5. Tis So Sweet to Trust In Jesus (William J. Kirkpatrick & Louisa M. R. Stead)- D
6. In Christ Alone (Keith Getty & Stuart Townend) – Am

As always a part of Sunday Setlists.

This post is a part of Sunday Setlists. Go check it out.

This morning I had the privilege of coleading worship. I lead three songs and Nick, who plays the keys, lead the other three. I finally got to introduce a song I wrote a month or so ago. I posted it on this blog here, so go take a listen. It’s just a rough garageband recording but it’ll give you the idea. Overall the morning went smoothly. The response/communion time was really meaningful today. I got all choked up and couldn’t sing and was very glad to not be leading Nothing but the Blood today.

1. Unchanging – E (Tomlin)
2. From the Inside Out – C (Hillsong)
3. Unashamed – F (Starfield)
4. You are Holy – C (mine!)
5. Holy, Holy, Holy (Hymn)- C
6. Nothing but the Blood (Hymn) – F

How was your Sunday morning? Let me know what you think in the comments section!
